Breast lift

There are many reasons why a woman might seek help for her breasts.

It can be too big, a source of backache. They can be too small, giving rise to complexes that can be difficult to cope with. The breasts may fall out or be "emptied" as a result of pregnancies, weight changes or the effects of the years. Or some patients have significant asymmetries or incomplete development of their breasts. Finally, surgery may focus solely on the nipples for the treatment of invaginated nipples.

Every problem has its solution. The choice of treatment will depend on many factors. It may combine several of the following techniques.

Our main objective will always be to make you feel better and meet your expectations, with a natural result and the simplest possible solution.

Without breast augmentation

A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to lift and firm breasts that have lost firmness and position due to aging, weight loss, pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Unlike breast augmentation, which aims to increase breast volume, mastopexy focuses solely on reshaping and rejuvenating the breasts by removing excess skin, tightening tissues and repositioning the areola and nipple.

Here's how the breast lift procedure usually works:

  • Anesthesia: Mastopexy is generally performed under general anesthesia, which means that the patient is kept asleep throughout the procedure.
  • Incisions: The plastic surgeon makes incisions around the areola, vertically from the bottom of the areola to the fold under the breast, and sometimes horizontally along the fold under the breast. These incisions allow access to the breast tissue and reshape the breasts.
  • Breast reshaping: The surgeon removes excess skin, tightens underlying tissues and repositions the areola and nipple to achieve a firmer, more youthful appearance.
  • Sutures and bandages: Once the breast lift is complete, the surgeon closes the incisions with sutures and applies bandages or a compression bra to support the breasts during healing.

Recovery from a breast lift can vary depending on the extent of the procedure, but generally requires a rest and recuperation period of one to two weeks. Bruising and swelling may occur in the days following surgery, but gradually diminish over time.

The results of a breast lift are usually visible once swelling and bruising have subsided, with firmer, firmer, more youthful breasts.

With breast augmentation

Breast lift with breast augmentation is an aesthetic surgical procedure that combines both breast lift to lift and firm sagging breasts and breast augmentation to increase breast volume.

Here's how the breast lift with breast augmentation procedure usually works:

  • Anesthesia: Surgery is generally performed under general anesthesia, which means that the patient is asleep throughout the procedure.
  • Incisions: The plastic surgeon makes incisions for the breast lift to lift and firm the breasts, usually around the areola, vertically from the bottom of the areola to the crease under the breast, and sometimes horizontally along the crease under the breast. For breast augmentation, additional incisions may be made under the breast, around the areola or in the armpit crease, depending on the type of prosthesis chosen and the preferences of the surgeon and patient.
  • Breast reshaping and prosthesis insertion: The surgeon removes excess skin, tightens underlying tissues and repositions the areola and nipple to achieve a firmer, more youthful appearance of the breasts with a breast lift. Next, the patient's choice of breast prostheses are inserted through the incisions to increase breast volume.
  • Sutures and bandages: Once the procedure is complete, the surgeon closes the incisions with sutures and applies bandages or a compression bra to support the breasts during healing.

Recovery from a breast lift with breast augmentation can vary depending on the extent of the procedure, but generally requires a rest and recovery period of one to two weeks. Bruising and swelling may occur in the days following surgery, but gradually diminish over time.

The results of a breast lift with breast augmentation are usually visible once swelling and bruising have subsided, with firmer, fuller, more youthful breasts.

With breast reduction

A breast lift with breast reduction is an aesthetic surgical procedure designed to lift and firm the breasts while reducing their size. This procedure is generally performed on women whose breasts are both sagging and excessively large, which can lead to physical discomfort such as back, neck and shoulder pain, as well as psychological problems related to the appearance of the breasts.

Here's how the breast lift with breast reduction procedure usually works:

  • Anesthesia: Surgery is generally performed under general anesthesia, which means that the patient is asleep throughout the procedure.
  • Incisions: The plastic surgeon makes incisions for the breast lift to lift and firm the breasts, usually around the areola, vertically from the bottom of the areola to the crease under the breast, and sometimes horizontally along the crease under the breast. For breast reduction, additional incisions are made to remove excess breast tissue and reduce the size of the breasts.
  • Breast reshaping: The surgeon removes excess skin, tightens underlying tissues and repositions the areola and nipple to achieve a firmer, more youthful appearance of the breasts with a breast lift. The surgeon also removes excess breast tissue to reduce the size of the breasts.
  • Sutures and bandages: Once the procedure is complete, the surgeon closes the incisions with sutures and applies bandages or a compression bra to support the breasts during healing.

Recovery from a breast lift with breast reduction can vary depending on the extent of the procedure, but generally requires a rest and recovery period of one to two weeks. Bruising and swelling may occur in the days following surgery, but gradually diminish over time.

The results of breast lift with breast reduction are usually visible once swelling and bruising have subsided, with firmer, tighter, smaller and more youthful breasts.
