Breast Augmentation

There are many reasons why a woman might seek help for her breasts. They may be too large, causing backache. They may be too small, giving rise to complexes that can be difficult to cope with. Breasts can fall in or become "empty" as a result of pregnancies, weight changes or the effects of the years. Some patients also present significant asymmetries or incomplete development of their breasts. Lastly, surgery may focus solely on the nipples for the treatment of invaginated nipples.

Every problem has its solution. The choice of treatment will depend on many factors. It may combine several of the following techniques. The main objective will always be to make you feel better and to meet your expectations, with a natural result and the simplest possible solution.

Breast implants

Implants enable you to obtain a more substantial augmentation, depending on your morphology, with a more rounded décolleté. They are made of silicone. Their shape, size and exact position depend on the patient, and we choose them together in consultation.

Breast prostheses are medical devices used to increase the size or modify the shape of the breasts. They are mainly used in cosmetic breast surgery for reasons such as breast augmentation, breast reconstruction after mastectomy or correction of congenital malformations.

Breast prostheses can be inserted via different surgical approaches, such as an incision under the breast, around the areola or in the armpit crease, depending on the surgeon's and patient's preferences.

Breast lipofilling

(INJECTION OF FAT INTO THE BREASTS)

Lipofilling is a natural technique that allows you to increase the size of your breasts (by up to one cup per procedure) or modify their shape, using your own fat.

Breast lipofilling is an aesthetic surgical procedure designed to increase breast volume using the patient's own fat.

Here's how the breast lipofilling procedure usually works:

  • Liposuction: First, the plastic surgeon performs liposuction to harvest fat from donor areas such as the abdomen, thighs or hips. This fat is then purified and prepared for reinjection into the breasts.
  • Fat reinjection: Once the fat is ready, the surgeon strategically reinjects it into the breasts using fine cannulas. He works with precision to achieve a symmetrical, natural result, adjusting the volume and shape of the breasts according to the patient's wishes.

Breast lipofilling offers several advantages over breast implants, including the use of the patient's own fat, which reduces the risk of rejection or allergy. In addition, lipofilling can be used to correct minor breast asymmetries and achieve a more natural, softer result than that obtained with breast implants.

However, it's important to note that breast lipofilling may not be suitable for everyone. It is mainly suitable for people who want moderate breast augmentation and have sufficient body fat to be harvested.

Combined technique

Combined breast prosthesis and lipofilling is a surgical approach to breast augmentation that combines the use of breast prostheses with autologous fat transfer to achieve more personalized, natural results.

Here's how the combined breast implant and lipofilling procedure usually works:

  • Liposuction and fat preparation: First, the plastic surgeon performs liposuction to harvest fat from donor areas such as the abdomen, thighs or hips. This fat is then purified and prepared for reinjection into the breasts.
  • Fat reinjection: Once the fat is ready, the surgeon strategically reinjects it into the breasts to improve volume, shape and texture. This step fills in irregularities and creates a softer, more natural appearance.
  • Insertion of breast prostheses: After lipofilling, the surgeon inserts the breast prostheses chosen by the patient to achieve the desired volume. The prostheses can be placed either under the breast tissue or under the pectoral muscle, depending on the patient's preference and the surgeon's recommendations.

The combination of breast prostheses and lipofilling allows for more personalized results by adding volume with prostheses and improving breast shape and texture with autologous fat. This approach can also minimize some of the risks associated solely with the use of breast prostheses, such as prosthesis edge visibility or prosthesis sensation.
