Osteopathy
Yohan AMSELLEM - Osteopath
D.O. Osteopath with a French diploma for nearly 15 years.
After starting out in several health centers, I set up a private practice in Paris near the Place des Victoires.
I was also attached to the famous Sainte-Thérèse private maternity clinic in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, having specialized in Perinatal Osteopathy (pregnant women and infants).
I also taught osteopathy at the IPEO in Pantin (Institut Privé d'Ostéopathie Supérieur), where I was also supervisor of the school's clinic.
My practice? More of a generalist, I practice structural osteopathy (cracking technique) as well as tissue (fascia) and cranial osteopathy. I adapt my techniques according to my patients' needs, but my practice remains "soft" osteopathy.
My philosophy? To take my time, to listen to my patients without ignoring the fact that the individual is a whole and must be taken as a whole.
Appreciated for its natural approach and obvious results, osteopathy is defined as a gentle manual medicine whose aim is to restore balance to your body and ensure your well-being.
All the body's structures (skeleton, muscles, ligaments, joints, organs) are interdependent and can, in the event of dysfunction, cause pain.
The osteopath, "the body's watchmaker", uses only his hands. Using fine palpation, he searches for a loss of mobility in the patient's tissues, which is the cause of the perceived discomfort. Osteopaths look beyond symptoms. He studies his patient as a whole, both physically and psychologically, in order to find and treat the cause of the problem.
The osteopath chooses the most suitable and comfortable technique for each patient, according to age and morphology.
Classified as first-line medicine, osteopathy is not subject to medical prescription.
