NOSE
The face is analyzed in movement. The beauty of the face lies in the mimicry and the pout. We must therefore always take this into account, so as never to freeze a look or block a smile. As the years go by, the skin can relax and fat can distribute itself differently, giving the face a stern, sad or tired look in which we no longer recognize ourselves. The aim of facial rejuvenation surgery is to restore radiance without distorting or transforming the face.
Nose
Nose surgery, also known as rhinoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to alter the structure and appearance of the nose. Here are some important points to know about nose surgery:
- Objectives of rhinoplasty: Rhinoplasty can be performed for a number of reasons, including to correct aesthetic defects such as a hump on the nose, a nose that's too wide, a nose that's too small, a drooping nasal tip, nasal asymmetries and so on. It can also be performed to correct functional problems such as breathing difficulties caused by structural problems of the nose.
- Surgical techniques: There are two main rhinoplasty techniques: open rhinoplasty and closed rhinoplasty. Open rhinoplasty involves an external incision on the columella (the part between the nostrils) to access the structure of the nose, while closed rhinoplasty involves internal incisions inside the nose. The choice of technique depends on the patient's specific needs and the complexity of the procedure.
- Course of surgery: During nose surgery, the surgeon can reshape the bones and cartilage of the nose to achieve the desired shape. This may involve removing excess tissue, correcting the shape of the nasal tip, straightening the nasal septum, etc. The procedure is usually performed under general or local anesthesia, depending on the case.
- Recovery and results: After surgery, patients may experience temporary swelling, bruising and discomfort. Full recovery may take several weeks to months, during which time final results begin to show as swelling decreases and tissues stabilize. The results of rhinoplasty are generally permanent, improving the appearance of the nose as well as respiratory function in some cases.
