LEARN MORE ABOUT OSTEOPATHY
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a manual therapy that treats the body as a whole. The osteopath looks for areas of tension or reduced mobility—in the joints, muscles, or fascia—that may explain pain, sometimes far from where it is actually felt. Through gentle and precise techniques, they help the body regain its balance and mobility.
How a session works at myclinic
The first session begins with a discussion about your medical history, lifestyle, and the origin of your pain. Yohan Amsellem then performs a postural assessment and mobility tests before providing the appropriate manual treatment. The session lasts about 45 minutes. Personalized advice—regarding stretches, posture, and ergonomics—is provided to help prolong the effects of the treatment.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions are needed? One to three sessions are often enough for recent pain. Older pain may require longer follow-up, which will be evaluated with you during your first consultation.
Is osteopathy painful? No. The techniques are adapted to each patient. Mild fatigue or muscle soreness may occur within 24 to 48 hours, which is completely normal.
Can I consult during pregnancy? Yes. Osteopathy can relieve back and pelvic pain during pregnancy using adapted techniques.
Do I need a prescription? No, you can book an appointment directly. In the event of a recent trauma or unusual symptoms, prior medical advice may be requested.
